The activities of the communications division are mainly focused on two major research areas of fields and systems. The faculty members put special emphasis in all areas of electrical engineering, including the theory and practice of electromagnetics, wave propagation, electromagnetics compatibility(EMC/EMI), microwave and millimeter-wave technologies, radar systems, remote sensing, non-destructive testing(NDT), spread spectrum, wireless, mobile and satellite communications, and signal, image and speech processing. Through close interdisciplinary cooperation among our faculty members and various research centers in the country, a number of research projects have reached to their industrial status. The active research laboratories in communications group include microwave, wireless, millimeter-wave, radar, EMC, NDT, information and image processing, and digital communications. Other laboratories such as microwave and antennas, communications circuits, switching, and digital communications are also ava lable for graduate studies.
